Dr. Jerry L. Halpern

President

Dr. Jerry L. Halpern is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing in New York City.  He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the New York Academy of Dentistry, the American College of Dentists and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He is on staff at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Jerry has received numerous awards and honors over his career and has published and spoken on topics ranging from oral cancer reconstruction to dental forensic identification.

For the past seven years he has dedicated his time to helping the children of Fundación MIR in La Romana, Dominican Republic.  This humanitarian outreach program has now evolved into the World of Smiles charitable organization. He provides the needed oral and maxillofacial surgery for the underserved children and their families.  Each year, Dr. Halpern brings oral and maxillofacial surgery residents from New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center with him, instilling a sense of service on the future generation of dentists, one trip at a time.
